Wherever you are, whoever you celebrate Christmas with, I wish you a really happy one!		 What is Christmas for you? Decorating the tree? Roasting chestnuts over an open fire? A stolen kiss under the mistletoe, maybe?

The Christmas Story, of course, tells us Christ came into our world as a helpless baby to save us all from sin. I've always struggled a bit with the idea of sin. What is "sin"? And what, in these days of round-the-clock fun and entertainment, actually qualifies as sin? Maybe best not to know too precisely!

Whatever, the gift of life is something exceptionally special. Something which, during "time out" over Christmas, we have a wonderful opportunity to reflect on and appreciate more than we'd normally do.

For my family the miracle of child birth takes on a very special meaning this Christmas, as we celebrate with our darling little daughter Matilda, born 2 December.
